This was our second stay with Steve and Lisa, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Their property is stunning — beautifully maintained with rooms that are both comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Every detail felt intentional. Breakfast was delicious, and the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere made it easy to connect with fellow guests over great conversation. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare and really sets this place apart. We’ll definitely be back for a third visit!

Me, my wife, and 11 year old granddaughter enjoyed a great four night stay. Both beds in the pretty Nursery Room were comfortable and the adjoining bathroom had an amazing claw foot bathtub. The delicious breakfasts were a perfect start to each day.

We had an amazing 3 night stay at Spencer House bed and breakfast!! Our room (the nursery) had 2 very comfortable beds. Every morning we had a delicious 2 course breakfast to start our day. Steve and Lisa are both incredible hosts and we will definitely be returning!!

Staying at the Spencer House Bed and Breakfast is a true delight! My husband and I come to Erie to enjoy Presque Isle and always stay at this bed and breakfast. Why, you ask? First, this historic house is gorgeous on the inside and out! And, the history of this house, plus other properties on "Millionaire's Row" is fascinating. The owners, Steve and Lisa, are extremely conscientious and work hard to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. And, if you like breakfast, you're in for a real treat! A fresh, well balanced, and delicious breakfast is offered every morning, along with coffee, tea, and juices. Lastly, this B and B is located close to downtown + bayfront Erie, Presque Isle and two outstanding chocolate shops! If you choose to stay at the Spencer House, I am sure you will not be disappointed. - Lisa S.

Great place to stay for a luxurious getaway. The room was perfect, the breakfast was quite delicious and enjoyable, the ambiance and atmosphere was everything we expected and more. Steve and Lisa were gracious and receptive hosts. Can’t say enough good things about our stay. We will definitely book again should our travels take us that way. Top marks all around.

The Spencer House was clean and charming. It exceeded our expectations. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was great. Lisa and Steve were great hosts and saw to it we wanted for nothing on our visit there. I would highly recommend.

Last week was our first stay at Spencer House. There is simply no reason to stay anywhere else while in Erie. The house itself is a showpiece. The original craftsmanship is amazing, and the housekeeping is immaculate. We felt like royalty in the Presidential Suite. Very quiet and private. Steve and Lisa are friendly, genuine, and welcoming. The breakfasts were exceptional. We are already thinking about a return visit in the fall. Well done Steve and Lisa!

My fiancée and I came to stay for 3 nights, and it was wonderful! We were greeted by the hosts upon arrival and given a brief tour and history of the home. Everything was so beautiful, warm, and well-kept. So much hard work must go into preserving the beauty of this house. We stayed in the Captain's Quarters, and I can't recommend it enough. The bed was very comfortable, and the jacuzzi fit the two of us comfortably. The breakfasts were delicious, and cooked perfectly! Thank you so much for the 10/10 hospitality, Steve and Lisa! Will always recommend Spencer House!

Steve and Lisa are exceptional hosts! Our room was comfortable and clean and breakfast was perfect before a full day of activities. If you're unfamiliar with the area, sign up for Steve's newsletter where he highlights everything happening in the area. The house itself is gorgeous and very interesting. On arrival we had a little tour and it turns out the lady Spencer of the house was a relative of Princess Diana! So cool! We would definitely book again!

Charming, delicious, relaxing, and wonderful. Steve and Lisa run a quality establishment where the breakfast is first rate and fresh, where the decor is tasteful and topical, and The Captains Quarters is the best room in the house—in my opinion. The hot tub in the room was the main draw for me, and I was not disappointed. It was snug but comfortable for two people whose heights are just less than six foot, and it worked great to relax a few bodies that were tired from hiking on the beach (Presque Isle is less than a ten minute drive). Personally, I love the dark hard wood interior trim of all the public areas as well as the Latin, Greek, and Scottish sayings on the walls in the dining room. Steve contains a wealth of historical information about the area if you will but ask him 😉, and he knows all the good local restaurants if you’re ready to try the local flare. He and Lisa are friendly and professional and have been doing this for over a decade. They are very good at making people feel at home whether you wish to speak little or much. Thanks for the great anniversary trip, Steve and Lisa!
